Hello, my name is Amanda Valli and I am taking over the Women of Sacramento blog today to share with you something I am passionate about, local women-owned businesses. This weekend is Small Business Saturday and I can’t think of a better time to go out there and support these hardworking lady bosses! I’ve created a Holiday Gift Guide featuring some of my favorite things and shops to check out this Saturday.

The Kitchen Table

Susan O’Brien has always been passionate about food and its ability to connect people in the community. Her shop, The Kitchen Table, offers a wonderful selection of cookware, bakeware, and serving ware that make ideal gifts for your favorite chef and foodie. She also offers a variety of locally made artisan goods and fun holiday items. I’m currently coveting these adorable holiday tea towels by Mud Pie and the “In the Forest Collection” of Mixing Bowls by Mason Cash…they make the perfect hostess gifts this holiday season!

Union Boxing

Located at 3400 Folsom Blvd in East Sacramento

Gloria Quiming started Union Boxing in 2017. She and her manager Delanee Keenan are building a VIP fitness experience to help you achieve your goals through boxing, strength training, and yoga sculpt. Attaining results is so much fun with such a supportive community around you. Their potted amaryllis plants are the perfect addition to your holiday table and make great gifts. If it’s a tree you’re shopping for, Plant Foundry owner Angela Pratt is teaming up with John Boyer of Edible Pedal to offer bicycle delivery for Christmas trees in the greater Sacramento area. How cool is that? Edible Pedal is donating proceeds from their sales to Trips for Kids Sacramento, a nonprofit organization that runs bicycle rides for youth and teens to promote a love of nature and resilience.

Amanda's headshot

Hello, my name is Amanda Valli. I am the founder and principal designer of Amanda Valli Interiors, a Sacramento-based full-service interior design and home styling firm. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I developed an interest in design at an early age as my family designed their home from the ground up.

After receiving a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I moved to Santa Monica and decided to further my studies at UCLA Extension in the Architecture and Interior Design Certificate Program.

I was able to polish my design skills while working as a design assistant at the award-winning interior design firm, Timothy Corrigan Inc. in Los Angeles. During my time at TCI, I had the opportunity to work on many exciting projects recently featured in his new book, The New Elegance: Stylish, Comfortable Rooms for Today.

In 2016, I returned to Northern California and continued working locally as a junior designer, before starting out on my own in 2018. Amanda Valli Interiors provides full service interior design for existing homes and new residential construction.

I enjoy working in various design styles and tailor each project to meet my client’s specific taste, lifestyle, and budget. With access to products that are unavailable in the retail market, I am able to create spaces that are truly one-of-a-kind and unique to each client. I also provide home staging consultations for residential homes preparing to go on the market and a Design Rescue Package for clients who are not looking for full-service interior design, but instead seek guidance to kick-start their own home projects.
